The fifth book in the Sprocket Sagas is now available in e-book and paperback from Amazon.
Sprocket and the Pax Dracus
“What will happen to the refugees?” Ava asked her Mum and Louise was at a loss for a good answer. Kate was researching the portals that the Seeker dragons were opening to make a map but the paper wasn’t big enough. Victoria was studying spread sheets on her computer and the Soldiers from Hereford needed training areas with more testing terrain.
Mix this with a boy on the run seeking adventure and a host of dragons and this new adventure takes off for our friends from Pudding Founders Lane.
Will Bird Watch find the fugitive and foil a group of terrorists? Can dragons and portals be the solution for families fleeing war and death? Join Sprocket and his friends as they set out to overcome the biggest problem they have ever faced. Follow them across continents and dimensions to new worlds and dangers.

I love all the Sprocket books, and this new one was so good I devoured it in one sitting. Never mind, I shall read it again more slowly and catch up with the bits I missed. Favourite characters are the non-humans, of course, especially those in and around Pudding Founders' Lane. The thing I appreciate most for younger readers is that the baddies don't get to carry out their nefarious plans, they're always thwarted by some smart human and non-human co-operation, but, most importantly, after a period of time for reflection, they are able to use a latent talent to earn a respectable living and redeem themselves. Don't worry about the dragons, by the way, they're the goodies.
